China is currently the world's largest producer of rare earth permanent magnet products. In recent years, its output has basically remained above 90% of the global total. Export is one of the main sales channels of my country's rare earth permanent magnet products.
In July 2021, the export volume of rare earth permanent magnet products in China was about 4827 tons, and the export value was about 267 million U.S. dollars. The export volume increased by 49% compared with the same period last year, and the export value increased by 86%. Compared with the previous month, the export situation of China's rare earth permanent magnet products increased steadily in July. The export volume increased by 1% compared with the previous month, and the export value increased by 4%.
Zhejiang Province is a major export province of China's rare earth permanent magnet products. The export volume in July was 1965 tons, accounting for 40.7% of the country's total exports; Beijing and Shandong followed closely, with exports accounting for 11.5% and 11.0% of the country's total, respectively.

In July 2021, China's export volume of rare earth permanent magnets was 4,210 tons, an increase of 44% over the same period last year, and the average export price was US$58.2/kg, an increase of 5% over the previous month and an increase of 24% over the same period last year.
NdFeB magnetic powder
In July 2021, China's NdFeB magnetic powder exports were 412.9 tons, an increase of 83% over the same period last year and an increase of 14% over the previous month. The average export price of NdFeB magnetic powder in July was US$30.7/kg, an increase of nearly 53% over the same period last year and a decrease of 9% from the previous month.
Quick-setting permanent magnet
In July 2021, China's export volume of quick-setting permanent magnets was about 162.6 tons, an increase of 78% over the same period last year and a decrease of 6% from the previous month. The average export price of quick-setting permanent magnet sheets in July was US$44.8/kg, a decrease of 5% from the previous month and an increase of 118% from the same period last year.
The main export direction of my country's rare earth permanent magnet products
Europe, America and East Asia have always been the main export markets for my country's rare earth permanent magnet products.
As far as permanent magnets are concerned, the top three countries in terms of export volume in July 2021 are the United States, Germany, and South Korea. The United States has ranked first in terms of import volume this month; in July, my country’s exports to the top ten countries totaled about 3107.7 tons. , Accounting for 73.8% of the total. The main export destination of quick-setting permanent magnet sheets and NdFeB magnetic powder is Japan, and most of the quick-setting permanent magnet sheets are exported to Japan in July.
